What started 60 years ago as a reading group in the living room of a community leader has grown into a multi-dimensional educational program with five charter schools. East Harlem Scholars Academies are committed to providing children in East Harlem with the academic excellence and supports needed to thrive. While we await the opening of our state-of-the-art Phase II High School building at 2017 1st Ave, our East Harlem Scholars Academy High School is temporarily housed in the building attached to El Museo del Barrio.
