The East Harlem Scholars Academy provides East Harlem families with a comprehensive K-8 learning community that combines a rigorous academic curriculum with innovative extended day and extended year enrichment. Through its partnership with East Harlem Tutorial Program (EHTP), the school combines a demanding course of studies with a focused extended learning program that emphasizes intensive tutoring, hands-on learning and creative learning experiences across the curricula.
As an extension of EHTP's work, the school serves as yet another avenue to provide East Harlem children with the academic and enrichment opportunities they would have if they were born just 20 blocks south.
